Janet paints oil on canvas and explores many styles including representational, impressionism, and abstract. Her paintings are influenced by other artists as well as her own photos. Janet enjoys thinking about composition, light, and the feeling evoked by the work, regardless of its genre.

As with most artists, Janet believes that painting teaches her a great deal about herself – what she is feeling and trying to achieve at a moment in time and hopes her work portrays a need and curiosity for continuous learning as an artist.
